Hier in diesem Journal gab's ein paar Quizresultate und sowas und dann später noch ein paar mehr oder weniger interessante Müsterchen, die ich bei Digg gefunden habe.
Im November 2007 habe ich die Einträge von meinem Sammelsurium auf Greatestjournal hier rüberkopiert (Hey, sicher ist sicher!), also ist über Nacht plötzlich einiges dazu gekommen, doch davon nicht verwirren lassen! Aber gut war's, denn bald darauf ist GJ nun am abserbeln - und das offizielle Backup ist mittlerweile auf InsaneJournal!

|  Über so eine Göttinnen-Seite auf Facebook habe ich diese Woche erfahren, dass mein Sternzeichen Wassermann - Aquarius - zur Indischen Göttin Lakshmi passt - oder umgekehrt, wie auch immer...
"Das Sternzeichen Wassermann wird mit der indischen Göttin Lakshmi identifiziert, deren Sanskrit-Name „Glück“ bedeutet. In gewisser Hinsicht stellt sie ein Gegenstück der griechischen Aphrodite dar und einer ihrer Aspekte ist die der Göttin der Schönheit."
Alle Sternzeichen und dazugehörige Göttinnen samt Bildern von Lakshmi in meinem neusten DeviantART-Journal - und weitere Bilder von Lakshmi (die mir je länger je mehr immer sympathischer wird mit Lotusblüten und Goldmünzen und ihren Elefanten) habe ich natürlich auch auf Tumblr gefunden... ;-)
Was mir beim Ansehen etlicher Bilder bei den 'traditionell' dargestellten Göttergestalten auffällt: Fast alle haben das gleiche Gesicht, ob Gott oder Göttin, alle haben grosse Augen und sinnliche Lippen und von der Visage allein sehe ich keinen Unterschied.
Etwas gewöhnungsbedürftig, aber andererseits muss ich mich bei dem Anblick auch nicht über irgendwelche Rauschebärte ärgern. | | comments: Leave a comment |
| Mal wieder den Test gemacht: Belief-O-Matic... obwohl oder vielleicht weil ich eben nicht wirklich religiös bin, finde ich das immer wieder interessant, zumal das bei mir ja je nach Laune immer etwas schwanken kann zwischen Atheistischem, Agnostischem und Heidnischem/Spirituellem Gedankengut. Wie auch immer.
Neo-Pagan immer noch an erster Stelle (wie beim letzten Mal) - doch während damals noch Römisch-Katholisch das Schlusslicht bildete, so sind's diesmal die Zeugen Jehovas.

New Fossil Discovery in China Redefines Emergence of Modern Humans
An international team of researchers based at the Institute of Vertebrate Paleontology and Paleoanthropology in Beijing has discovered well-dated human fossils in southern China that markedly change anthropologists perceptions of the emergence of modern humans in the eastern Old World.
The discovery of early modern human fossil remains in the Zhirendong (Zhiren Cave) in south China that are at least 100,000 years old provides the earliest evidence for the emergence of modern humans in eastern Asia, at least 60,000 years older than the previously known modern humans in the region.
"These fossils are helping to redefine our perceptions of modern human emergence in eastern Eurasia, and across the Old World more generally," says Eric Trinkaus, PhD, the Mary Tileston Hemenway Professor in Arts & Sciences and professor of physical anthropology.
The Zhirendong fossils have a mixture of modern and archaic features that contrasts with earlier modern humans in east Africa and southwest Asia, indicating some degree of human population continuity in Asia with the emergence of modern humans.
The Zhirendong humans indicate that the spread of modern human biology long preceded the cultural and technological innovations of the Upper Paleolithic and that early modern humans co-existed for many tens of millennia with late archaic humans further north and west across Eurasia.
The research was published Oct. 25 in the online early edition of the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences.

was alles oft nur auf "Mehr Schein als Sein!" hinausläuft, machen Menschen oft sich selbst und anderen das Leben schwer und vergeuden viel Energie damit, irgendwelche Fassaden aufrecht zu erhalten.
Eigentlich ziemlich tragisch, doch das gehört alles mit zum Patriarchalen System... aber das ist wohl wieder eine andere Geschichte.

| 1. What faith were you born into or raised with (if any)?
Ich wurde römisch-katholisch getauft, so wie meine Mutter. Mein Vater ist reformiert, aber nicht wirklich religiös, also war's ihm egal, während meine Mutter aus Bayern stammte, wo sie ja alle total katholisch waren. Darum ist sie später auch nie aus der Kirche ausgetreten, weil die Verwandten natürlich schwer entsetzt gewesen wären, wenn sie mal beerdigt wird und es keinen richtigen Gottesdienst gibt etc. Eh voilà.
2. Were you devout as a child/adolescent?
Als kleines Kind hab ich immer geguckt, ob irgendwo ein Kreuz mit hing, und dann mit dem Finger auf den "Lieben Gott" gezeigt. Ansonsten kann ich mich jedoch nicht erinnern, besonders fromm gewesen zu sein.
3. If you are not currently practicing your childhood faith, what led you away from it?
Nachdem ich dann erst mal lesen konnte, kam ich irgendwann bald mal dahinter, dass der Liebe Gott eigentlich gar nicht so lieb ist bei all dem Mord und Totschlag in der Bibel. Ausserdem hat's mich geärgert, dass ich als Frau nie Pfarrerin werden könnte - nicht, dass ich sowas je gewollt hätte, aber es ging's um Prinzip.
4. How many religious denominations, traditions, and/or groups have you belonged to?
Seit meinem Austritt aus der Röm.Kath. Kirche mit zwanzig Jahren...
Und das war wohl kein Wunder!
... bin ich konfessionslos. Organisierte Religion ist irgendwie nichts für mich!
5. How would you describe your religion now?
Nicht religiös, aber spirituell, gewissermassen.
Ich sympathisiere mit so manchem Heidentum und Naturreligionen, je nachdem, was mir alles on in die Quere kommt.
6. How long have you been practicing that religion?
Heee, das Schönste dabei ist ja, dass ich gar nichts 'praktizieren' muss...
7. Do you pray? If so, how?
Hin und wieder ein Stossgebet, aber ansonsten...
8. Do you practice magic? If so, do you distinguish it from prayer?
Wenn ich mal sage "I'm a Häx! A Tax-Häx!" - so hat das leider wenig mit Magie zu tun… ;-)
9. Do you work with divinatory oracles like Tarot, astrology, the Runes, etc?
Ich sammle. Astrologische Horoskope. Hab mir spasseshalber mal Tarot-Karten zugelegt - und besitze sogar Runen, online bestellt. Richtig benutzt hab ich's aber noch nie... na ja, jedenfalls nicht richtig! ;-)
10. Describe your personal concept of God/dess/Higher Power/etc.
In meiner Amayra-Variante reden sie gerne von Schwingungen, die alles durchdringen. Im Internet fand ich für das Prinzip (oder zumindest so ähnlich) sogar mal den Begriff Morphogenetische Felder. Anderswo nennt man es wohl einfach die Kraft. In Personifizierter Form könnte es wohl durchaus mal in Gestalt einer Grossen Göttin oder sonstwie auftreten...
11. How does your religion/spirituality explain the concept of/presence of evil?
Gut und Böse kann durchaus Ansichtssache sein und man sollte nicht auf Teufel komm raus ständig alles katalogisieren und werten. Licht ist beispielsweise nicht prinzipiell besser als Dunkelheit etc. - es braucht beides, um in Balance zu sein.
Natürlich kann es Menschen geben, die irgendwie fieser sind als andere; bei denen ist das Gleichgewicht leider total von der Rolle. Ob sie irgendwie in der Kindheit verkorkst wurden oder ob der eine oder andere vielleicht schon "von Natur aus böse" auf die Welt kommen, weil sie womöglich noch mit schlechtem Karma beladen sind oder weiss der Geier, das bleibe mal dahingestellt.
12. Is music and/or dance important to your path? Why or why not?
Musik ist insofern wichtig, dass ich mich dabei entspannen und schön nachgrübeln kann. Oder ich kann am Klavier auch mal in die Tasten hauen und mir dann fast die Seele aus dem Leib singen... ;-)
Aber tanzen... nicht ich.
13. What is your concept of the afterlife?
Kommt drauf an. Manche Seelen geistern vielleicht noch eine Weile rum, während andere wiedergeboren werden oder in irgendein Jenseits gehen oder sich quasi zu Sternenstaub auflösen... irgendwie bin ich da wohl ziemlich flexibel, eh?
14. Do you believe in ghosts, spirits, Faeries, devas, and/or other beings beyond ordinary perception?
Oh, es gibt noch viel zwischen Himmel und Erde...

Oh, wenn ich welche hätte, dann würde ich denen wohl allerhand erzählen - und sie dürften bestimmt alle möglichen Bücher lesen und sich selbst informieren.
Und wenn sie sich dann aus Trotz oder vorübergehender geistiger Umnachtung plötzlich einem Guru anschliessen oder sowas in der Art, dann würde ich wahrscheinlich die Hände ringen und mich fragen, was ich wohl falsch gemacht habe... | | comments: Leave a comment |
